Loving the Bling!

Oh my, school is taking a lot of my time. And I go to the gym 3-5times a week, it's really taking it's toll on the crafting. But I'm trying to make some time for it too. This one I knitted during classes:
*
Loving the Bling
*
Yarn: Red Heart Dallas (100% acrylic) and Novita Red (80% viscose, 20% polyester)
Needles: 3,5mm circ.
Hook: 2,5mm
Pattern: Improvised
Mood: Happy. I think it's adorable.
*
The hat itself was the perfect mindless knitting for those knitting-during-classes experiences. The kind where you don't have to think about what you're knitting, you can just let your hands work on their own and pay attention to the teacher. I knitted the hat during one school day. The pom-pom and the heart took me almost as long as the hat itself (fine, maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit..)

Sorry, no action pics. Maybe later.

Recycled Zipper

Zipper Brooches
*
I had to change a zipper to my winter jacket, 'cos the old one was broken. And I don't want to throw anything out, so... Not to mention that sewing on the new zipper turned out to be a bit more difficult than I thought. So I had to find something else to do before I try it again.
*
Yep, just plain black brooches. I usually like to keep things simple. I know it's not a new idea, but it's always nice to make your own version of the classics.

New Year - New Mitch O'Connell

Yeah, I finally got the rockabilly angel done:
*
Rockabilly Angel
*
It's done in the ever so faithful backstitch and using one of the Sublime Stitching featuring Mitch O'Connell patterns. I think I maybe should've re-thinked some of the colours. But then again I always think so.

I have big plans for her, and her, and her, and a few other Mitch O'Connell inspired embroidery projects yet to come.

Oh, I spend the christmas at my mom's. She's just got a new kitten. Ever tried photographing a scarf you just finished with a playful kitten around?

Yarn: Fleur, 100% acrylic

I made it for my sister for christmas, and finished it with a day to spare. I started it months ago, but it was a bit of a boring knit, so it took me a lot of time.
